Healing of a Woman with a Hemorrhage (Issue of Blood)

Matthew 9:20-22; Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:43-48

²⁰And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years,	²⁵And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,	⁴³And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years,
	²⁶And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,	which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
	²⁷When she had heard of Jesus,
came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:	came in the press behind, and touched his garment.	⁴⁴Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment:
²¹For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.	²⁸For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
	²⁹And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.	and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
²²But Jesus turned him about,	³⁰And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?	⁴⁵And Jesus said, Who touched me?
	³¹And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?	When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
		⁴⁶And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
and when he saw her,	³²And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
	³³But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.	⁴⁷And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.	³⁴And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.	⁴⁸And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
And the woman was made whole from that hour.

	²⁷She had heard [reports] about Jesus,
came up behind Him and touched the [tassel] fringe of His outer robe;	and she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His outer robe.	⁴⁴came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His outer robe,
²¹for she had been saying to herself, “If I only touch His outer robe, I will be healed.”	²⁸For she thought, “If I just touch His clothing, I will get well.”
	²⁹Immediately her flow of blood was dried up; and she felt in her body [and knew without any doubt] that she was healed of her suffering.	and immediately her bleeding stopped.
	³⁰Immediately Jesus, recognizing in Himself that power had gone out from Him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched My clothes?”	⁴⁵Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”
	³¹His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing in around You [from all sides], and You ask, ‘Who touched Me?’”	While they all were denying it, Peter [and those who were with him] said, “Master, the people are crowding and pushing against You!”
		⁴⁶But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, because I was aware that power [to heal] had gone out of Me.”
²²But Jesus turning and seeing her	³²Still He kept looking around to see the woman who had done it.
	³³And the woman, though she was afraid and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.	⁴⁷When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling and fell down before Him. She declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed.
said, “Take courage, daughter; your [personal trust and confident] faith [in Me] has made you well.”	³⁴Then He said to her, “Daughter, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in Me] has restored you to health; go in peace and be [permanently] healed from your suffering.”	⁴⁸He said to her, “Daughter, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in Me] has made you well. Go in peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being).”
And at once the woman was [completely] healed.
